Curiosity by Design is a project of Custom Learning Atelier, LLC. These Terms & Refund Policy explain the terms that apply when you visit this website, book a service, purchase an offering, attend a workshop, access materials, or otherwise work with Curiosity by Design.

For ease of reading, “Curiosity by Design,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Custom Learning Atelier, LLC and its Curiosity by Design project.

By using this website, booking a service, purchasing an offering, or submitting payment, you agree to these terms.

Services and Offerings

Curiosity by Design may offer services, workshops, consulting, diagnostics, creative strategy, learning experience design, digital resources, events, and related offerings.

Specific details, deliverables, timelines, pricing, and terms may vary by offering and will be described on the relevant sales page, proposal, invoice, booking page, agreement, or written communication.

Payments

Payments may be collected through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.

By submitting payment, you agree to pay the amount shown at checkout, on the invoice, or in the written agreement for the selected service or offering.

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Curiosity by Design does not directly store full credit card numbers or complete payment card details.

Scheduling and Rescheduling

For scheduled calls, sessions, workshops, or services, clients are responsible for booking and attending at the agreed-upon time.

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.

Curiosity by Design may also reschedule a session when necessary due to illness, emergency, scheduling conflict, or other reasonable circumstances. If this happens, we will make a good-faith effort to provide a new time.

Cancellations

Cancellation terms may vary depending on the specific offering.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • One-time calls or sessions may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Missed sessions or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a refund.

  • Workshops, events, or live group experiences may have separate cancellation terms listed on the relevant registration or sales page.

  • Custom consulting, strategy, diagnostic, or project-based work may require deposits or upfront payments that are non-refundable once work has begun.

Refund Policy

Curiosity by Design aims to be clear and fair about refunds.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Digital products, downloadable materials, templates, guides, recordings, and other instantly accessible resources are non-refundable after purchase.

  • Completed calls, sessions, workshops, consulting, diagnostics, or services are non-refundable.

  • Deposits, retainers, or upfront payments for custom work may be non-refundable once scheduling, preparation, strategy, design, or delivery work has begun.

  • If you believe there has been an error with your payment or purchase, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the issue.

Refunds, when granted, will typically be returned to the original payment method.

No Guaranteed Outcomes

Curiosity by Design provides strategy, learning design, creative direction, facilitation, consulting, and related support. While we aim to provide thoughtful, useful, and high-integrity work, we do not guarantee specific business, financial, personal, professional, audience-growth, visibility, or learning outcomes.

Your results may depend on many factors, including your context, participation, implementation, timing, audience, organization, market conditions, and decision-making.

Client and Participant Responsibilities

By purchasing, booking, or participating in an offering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when requested

  • Participate respectfully and in good faith

  • Communicate relevant needs, constraints, or concerns

  • Use any materials, guidance, or recommendations responsibly

  • Make your own decisions about implementation, business strategy, financial choices, and professional actions

Curiosity by Design reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if there is abusive, inappropriate, unsafe, or unethical behavior.

Intellectual Property

All materials created by Curiosity by Design, including but not limited to frameworks, workshop materials, slides, worksheets, prompts, guides, recordings, written content, visuals, and learning experience designs, are the intellectual property of Custom Learning Atelier, LLC unless otherwise stated in writing.

Purchasing or participating in an offering does not transfer ownership of Curiosity by Design intellectual property.

You may use purchased or provided materials for your own personal, internal, or organizational use, depending on the terms of the specific offering. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, redistribute, publish, teach, license, or commercially exploit Curiosity by Design materials without written permission.

Confidentiality

For private consulting, diagnostic, or strategy work, Curiosity by Design will make reasonable efforts to treat client information as confidential.

However, confidentiality does not apply to information that is already public, independently developed, shared with permission, or required to be disclosed by law.

If a separate confidentiality agreement or client contract is signed, that agreement will govern the confidentiality terms for that work.

Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website or attempt to interfere with its normal operation. This includes attempting to hack, disrupt, scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or otherwise misuse the website, content, forms, payment systems, or related tools.

Curiosity by Design’s total liability for any claim related to a purchased offering will not exceed the amount paid for that specific offering.
